The Reverend Dr. Philip Jamieson, President of The United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences, announces that the recipient of the Tom and Betty Cloyd Scholarship is Kaitlynn Vaughn of Nashville.  Kaitlynn is a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church and is currently enrolled at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee.

The Tom and Betty Cloyd Scholarship Fund was created by Belle Meade United Methodist Church to honor the Cloyds’ ministries through the years.  This fund was placed with the United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences for investing and distributing one or more scholarships each year.  The Cloyds continue to be consulted about possible recipients, and Kaitlynn was the student chosen this year.  Anyone wishing to honor the Cloyds may make a contribution to the Foundation (304 S. Perimeter Park Dr., Suite 3, Nashville, TN  37211) at any time with gifts being placed in the Scholarship Fund.  (For information regarding the establishment of a scholarship fund, contact the Foundation office – 615-259-2008.)
